Yeah, I deep-fried a 1988 Chevy K1500 doing the same thing! HOWEVER, that experiance lead me to learn to allways install my own fueable link in the system. Using a 10 amp fuse, its hard to have a real problem, cause the 10a fuse will pop quicker tan a softmore's cherry.
