new air intake and new stalling problem?????
Hey yall whats up? ive had my 94 mitsubishi eclipse since Nov 2005. Its a 4spd, 1.8 liter stock engine. Recently ive installed an INJEN air intake, now ive got issues. Ever since ive installed this damn intake, my car has a stalling issue. There is no check engine light and only happens when i step on the clutch pedal and brake pedal. My mechanic said it didnt happen to him and just raised the idle, that did nothing. i brought it back to him and he reset the computer. That worked for a day and the issue is back. my car had no problems before this at all. I know this is related to the intake, and i need answers....
Just take off the negative battery terminal and pump the ABS or something to drain power. Then wait a little bit and connect it again. Then drive it around a little and it should be fine...
could it also that the motor isnt getting air? Or enough air? Cause from experience freinds and I hooked up an intake one time that was installed wrong and it was do the same thing, it just wasnt produceing air
(crazy experience)

one of the most common problems after an intake is installed is that something goes wrong with the MAF. I suggest checking that out, make sure that the wiring is hooked in right.
