Whats up. New to the forum, and i was wanting to know if anyone has any body kit suggestions. I have a 94 1.8 non tubo that I have been trying to finish for a long time now. But i am about to get a body kit thanks to a wreck two weeks ago so i was looking for the best to get. Thanks. D-C

personally i hate body kits on the 1g and 2g. But if you like them, then go for it. As for suspension ive always like the eibach lowering spring, KYB strut combo. Usually gives a nice ride with a lower agressive look.

Thanks for the help. Im starting to think that maybe the body kit isnt the best thing to do. Has anyone made modifications to the stock body on a 1st gen? D-C

that combo is good. They have deals where you ca get them for a decent price.. around like $300 or something shipped. Or you could go all out and buy some real coilovers but they are like $1000-$1600

What negative effects will lowering it via that combo have on my ride i.e. increased bumpiness to ride, messing up suspension, etc. Thanks

neither. Your gonna have better handling and improved stability from you suspension with the spring/strut combo. The last time i check the price was in the range of $500-$550 for the combo. However there are options you could pickwith either. The eibach springs have two different types (pro kit, sportline) The pro kit has a little less agressive drop, only like .3" less, but has a stiffer more agressive spring rate. Then the KYB struts come in two types (GR-2, AGX) the gr-2 is a small upgrade from stock springs so that you dont ruin your stock struts with the lower springs. And the AGX are 4-way adjustable so that you can adjust your stiffness to what you like. Here is a little cost analysis:

Eibach Sportline: $216
Eibach Pro Kit: $216

KYB GR-2: $99
KYB AGX: $233

I found some Megan Racing springs off dsmparts.com and was wondering if they are comparable to eibach?Or just trash?
