the compression ratio on a 95+ should be like 8.5:1 where the 1g's where 7.8:1.
Yup.
The 1Gs have lower compression and longer rods (I know, not what you're asking). So the pistons will definitely be different between the two 1G and 2G motors. I'll look around a bit too to help clarify.

longer rods are things i do like to know, with things like that i just need a rod length then ill be able to measure & know what i have, longer rods are always better anyway, i wish i had a 6 bolt just because i know the bottom ends are indestructable in them.
i'm up for any kind of info on all the different engines i can get, i love knowing alot about anything, no information is useless to me, ive been trying to find a specs list on all the internals of them but havent came across much yet, a friend gave me a haynes manual & those usually tell me evrything i already know & whatever i want to know it always says it should be done by a trained professional, or "see section 6", you go to secton 6 for that certain thing, and it tells you go go back to where you just came from, and nowhere in the book does it tell you **** about anything you were looking for
those books are good for nothing but torque specs for bolts....
anyway when i do figure out what i have i'm gonna get new pistons, have the rods resized IF it can be done, i know a 420a has the caps broken off and they cant be machined & resized for cheaper than buying new. if anyone has a stock 14b turbo floating around for cheap im sure ill be interested, its better than a 16g with the blades melted off, it has little nubs left on it and the housing is cracked across the wastegate[:'(]

Glad to help
So, you either have the pre 7bolt like the 1GB or a previous owner swapped in a 6 bolt. Someone probably just ran that motor to hell, never turbo timed it, and probably just cranked up the boost without supporting mods or just ran it to the ground all day, every day without TLC.

its a 5-93 car, must be a 6 bolt swap, but i honestly belive it was a n/a bottom end because the pistons are flat tops, not dish, that will cook it real quick, especially with a 16g turbo on it, there is no sign of a cut hose for a boost controller, but that doesnt mean anything, it has a turbo timer,i think that was just recently put on

I'm having a hard time finding any other info for you bro. I did find a set of 2g type pistons..you're correct about them being dished/bowled/not flat, lol.

Well then, lol.

Here's some 1G non-turbo pistons.

Kind of hard to tell, but they are concave too.

i think the "T" on the number is a giveaway for Turbo, mine say 67D on the top, and look just like thos non turbo's in the pic, i'm gonna try to stick to one thread now, i get sidetracked too easy & start rattlin **** off about my car then the whole thread changes subject
actually the ones in your pic have more of a dish than mine do,
