alright well let me just say this, there is know way that you have N/T pistons in that car, because the car would not even run correctly and it would get destroyed, and i know that your engine is already, but not for that reason. The CR for NT pistons are way to high, and someone would have to be a dumbass to put that in there. So my guess is that they are just cheap pistons. I say call up a dealer and tell them the code on top of the pistons and see what they come up with

As long as you're not looking to make ***** out power and stay close to proven stock capabilities, I say find some 2G pistons and 1G big rods, or just use your rods (if they're still any good). You'll still need to get new rings and you'll also have to machine the wrist pin to fit the bigger 2g piston rod. I don't see that costing you more since you do machining too.

Look over this site too. It's branched out from vFAQ. It's TalonDigest's archives to A LOT of Q&A.

Here's another one to look over too, it's the main page btw.

so is the idea for the bigger wrist pins? takes a little strength away from the rod but they look strong enough to live through about anything

And you'll raise the CR from 7.8:1 to 8.5:1 and have some low end torque.
The 1G "big rods" can handle it. They're beefy enough. Just imagine how weak the 2G rods are because they're a tad smaller

i dunno im all about way too big of a turbo on too small of an engine, maybe i should stick with 7.8:1,
howbout that holset HX40W on there, i think its good to 40 or 50Psi on a diesel, lol, poor little 4 banger would probly have to crank 9500 r's just to get that thing to spool[8D]
