I just bought 2 1991 Eagle talon tsi fwd. They are the same as the eclipse as you guys know. My QUESTION is : One car is in great condition but the turbo is shot, the other one is beat up but the engine and turbo are perfect. Can i just unbolt the bad turbo and bold up the good one?

 

dont see any reson why not. Go for it. Just make sure you hook everything back up right

Exactly. Just swap out the go go snails. Careful witht he bolts though on the exhaust side. I've noticed that some have a tendancy to snap.

 

My friend said something about resetting the turbo timer?

 

Not needed, that controls the ignition not the turbo... it should be named a ignition timmer.
