WHEN I START MY GSX, AND THE RPM'S COME DOWN THEY BOUNCE AROUND FROM 1200-1500 RPM. ANYBODY KNW HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?????? PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

Is this only at an idle or does it do something similar when driving? If only at an idle it sounds like the IAC motor is shot (Idle Air Control).

 

I WOULD DRIVE FOR A WHILE AND WHEN I PUSH IN THE CLUTCH, THE RPM'S WILL DROP AND START BOUNCING AROUND AGAIN SO YES IT DOES IT AFTER I DRIVE IT FOR A WHILE.

 

No no I mean is it only at the idle? When you're pushing the clutch are you giving the engine any gas or are you letting the engine idle?

 

YES, IT ONLY HAPPENS AT IDLE, WHEN I GIVE IT GAS IT WILL TEND TO RUN FINE

 

Then it's exactly what I thought. It's your Idle Air Control motor (IAC motor). I'd be willing to bet money if it sounds like it's hunting at an idle (Hunting = RPM rising a falling repeatedly only at idle) that is definately your problem.

I had the same thing with my GST before it got fixed...

 

Let me know if it does fix it. I have a strong feeling that it will but just in case it doesn't...
