So, the (i think its called a gasket, the rubber seal around the cap) is shot I think since when I get on my engine hard, oil seems to leek from the front of it >_> I called auto zone, but they said I can only get it from a mitsu dealership ^_^;;;; Any of you know of any online site where I can find one? BTW, if you didnt notice my name, its for a 2001 GT. Thanks in advance!

 

Dude that's complete BS... Take the cap in to Advance or Auto Zone or Pep Boys and say "I need one of these" they may ask what vehicle it's for but you should be able to get one at any of the local parts stores. If all else fails you can do one of 2 things. Check the local junkyards for one for your type of engine (Check for the engine the car may be a different one but the engine will be the same). OR If I'm not mistaken I believe it's a simple o-ring that serves as the gasket there. Pull it out and get one from a hardware store the same size. Just a few ideas for you.

dude, that gasket is like a dollar at the dealership...i had 2 do the same thing with my car...go to a hardware store if u cant part with your dollar

 

Oh, ok sorry.... The part department at Mitsu was closed yesterday so I have no idea how much it would cost. I just heard "Dealership" and paniced ^_^;;; Thanks, im gonna head there today.

 

just get a new cap bro.
