Default 1994 eclipse jumping and missing

My sister's 94 eclipse has a problem. After it warms up, it will start to loose power and surge. We switched the fuel filter and no gain. I can cut it off and it will run fine right after for a couple of minutes then start again. Please let me know if anybody else has had this problem and if there is a an easy solution.

I have a GSX with the same problem. In one oportunity it became impossible to drive it and it was the connector on the cam's sensor with the wiring pressed by the throttle cables. After that I haven't been able to locate the malfunction. The feels exactly like that it losses power and jumps.

I had a similar problem with my Eclipse (I've had several problems with my Eclipse, actually, and I'm growing to hate it). The mechanic said that the catalytic converter had failed, and it, somehow, clogged a cylinder, and that one cylinder thingie wasn't working, at all. As you can tell, I'm not a mechanic, and dont know much about cars... but I drive like a grandma, and get a mechanic to do everything for me (so, I'm certainly not causing the problems). Had the catalytic thingie replaced, but haven't done anything about the cylinder... I'm thinking about scrapping it, and going for a 3000GT.
