dfalrite i bought my 1990 eagle talon tsi (same 4g63 mitsu engine awd turbo)alrite for 1st gen eclipse lasers and talons the engine setup is pretty much the same, what i want to kno is y are there differnent valve covers, supposedly all fg63 valve covers are compatible wit the heads. when i bought my talon, the valve cover it had , was cracked and leaking severly. i bought a replacement one on ebay , it is good and has no cracks whats so ever BUT alrite i noticed that wen i put it on and was bolting it, the wholes on the valve cover were bigger and the platform where the bolt holes are , is higher then the stock valve cover, and also i compared it to my cuzins gsx valve cover, still was higher so the the bolts not only did they go all the way in the holes but they were still short only slightly locking in to the threads of the head. i went to home depot and got same thread and thickness bolts just a centimeter longer with double washers and it seals it good , my vavle cover is the one that SAYS: DOHC 16 VALVE ON THE BOTTOM AND NO LETTERS ON THE TOP. does this valve cover have its own stock bolts and washers specially manufactured for it??? please help me if u can , the valve cover doesnt leak anymore except the middle bottom bolt which leaks a little little bit nothing to really worry about, but still needs to be corrected YOUR HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PROJECTS AND CARS!!

 

To be honest with you, the valve cover you have described, I have never heard of before. The only 2 I know about is 1.the one that has 16 Valve on the top and DOHC 2000 on the bottom and 2. (jdm)- it has Mitsubishi going across the top and DOHC 2000 across the bottom. And all of the bolts were the same. But as far as I knowboth valve covers are compatible with our heads.
