95 GS dies and sputters
P.S.
I recommend all of you check the Speed sensor if you are able. For some odd reason, a lot of DSM's don't turn on the check engine light when the speed sensor starts to fail. An additional note on the Cruise control solution. If you try and set the cruise control and it absolutely NEVER sets, no matter what, then you do have a bad reed switch/speed sensor. I believe most of the Eclipse GS's came with CC, so you may all be able to check that out. Not to put anyone down, i know you all love your cars, but most of them are hitting the decade mark now....switches and sensors don't last forever. It's better to just replace them and having a good working car. have fun and enjoy the weekend everbody

Well i did notice pretty hardcore smoking from my car. So i brought a new motor and did a swap... guess what didnt solve it. Still the same problem. sooo......i really think the pcm... i wanted to replace it first... but my friend told me its shot piston rings turn it its a headgasket.....sooo im in the process of getting a new pcm. the good thing the motor has like 53k and 90 day warranty....so thats like over 100k off my old motor. I hope its the PCM if it is it can solve many people problem... i let u know in a few weeks. take care and have a wonderful day.
hey guys i figures out what was wrong with my car that dose the same thing. the error codes i pulled told me tat it was teh igition coil and the cam\crank posistion sensor. "this makes perfect sence now" sugestion got to about 3-4 auto zones and get a code look up if they all pull up the same code like mine did then bam u got it narroed down a little. i called the stalership about this and they said it could be as simple as a loose wire sonnection or it could be as bad as wiring problems but they want 86 bucks to tell me exactley what it is.
where is the speed sensor located? i tried to find it in the chaltons manual but no luck. does it come with another name? do you guys think it is something that we can replace it by ourselves? Thanks
