Default Advantages between 5 speed and 6

I have a 5 speed Gst...i was just wondering if you guys could tell me what are the major advantages and/or disadvantages between a 5 speed manual and 6 speed manual/

Its just gear ratio. It wont make your top end any better but if you are a good enough driver it should make your acceleration a little better.

well the sixth gear is also really only for highway so that your not around 3800 on the highway.

6spd EVOs are slower than 5spds.

6spds are FAR over rated the only one I know that is Amazing is the Supra GETRAG tranny which has great ratios other wise the STi and EVO require an extra shift for a 1\4 mile pass because the ratios are closer and the gears end faster. Gear ratios can be illusional in a way because the close ratios may feel like its accelling faster when you slowing your self down to shift to. really these trannys are better suited for autoXing and stuff
