all horsepower 420a. any suggestions

Like I said, please correct me if i'm wrong.
But for christs sake, the 420 is not as slow as people who don't drive one say it is.
It was'nt made for running and gunning, but yet is still quite peppy.
The RS & GS are primarily "chick cars", thats why the GST and GSX exist, to show the true power of the car.
But regardless, the 420A still aint that bad.

only by a length though.
I agree totally that turbo is pretty much the only way to make an impressionable gain of power on any dsm.
But when you start with a fully built motor, your going in the right direction to make good gains before the route of forced induction.

I agree with joshewuhh, sadly the rs (mine) and the gs are merely show off cars, that engine isnt quite as fast, but it works for me, since everything i see here are crx's modded with steel pipes where the catalyst should be (racing is soooo overrated here, and mods so dumb they even take away the cats for free at some shops)
i don't know. i'm from the old school type family. we all like raw natural horsepower. ya know my dad is the one that kept a 4cylinder in a pinto when everybody else went to big blocks. and could still run with them

I like to look at it this way. Take a stock ford focus, non-svt, its like a 16 sec quarter mile car right. (sport compact car tested the focus tuning focus, that was built and turbo'd) even with a huge as blower, a built engine, and it being tuned on a dyno, it was still only a mid 15 second car.
the point here is that if you are going to spend money, spend it wisely, get the best bang for you bucks, After doing all that work to the 420, what are you looking at spending in dollars and time. At least 6 days, if you can get everything out, and the machine shop drops what they are doing and works on your motor first. then, depending on whether or not you assemble you motor or they do, add 2 days if you do it, and do it right, thats if you can work at least 6hrs a day on building a motor, most people prefer to keep a clear head, and do it a littleat a time, making sure that everything is right, (go this route and figre 3, to 4 days). then you have to figure in the work for all the extras, cleaning, (both enging, trans, and accessories, and engine bay) then you have to throw in an extra 8 hours to install the motor (you'd be suprised just how long it can take to drop in any motor into the engine bay of any car) then figure another 4 hours getting everything adjusted, then figure at least 20 runs to the local autoparts store to that you can get stuff you forgot, and hope an pray you got all the parts from mitsu your going to need (new motormounts, brake lines, re-build kits, or new units for the clutch master, clutch slave, and brake master) then, you have spent at least (and this is a rough guess here) at least 7, to 8 thousand dollars on everything you needed to do to have a top performing reliable N/A 420, when you cold have spent half that much, and got more for you money.
Figure at the end of the day, even sprayin a 100 shot, you are still going to be lucky to crack in to the mid 14's. when a gst, or gsx, (correct me if i'm wrong here guys) runs that stock. and god help you if you run across a daddies dollars highschool kid who threw on an intake and exhaust to his otherwise stock gst... damn that'd suck
after that, id want my money back
