Yes it could be the ground and it could also be the remote wire. if the remote wire is not ther the amp is off not on. The remote wire acts like a relay. A low voltage connection to control a high voltage connection, just like an ignition switch.

update,I think I told ya that the engine noise was almost gone through the subs but the amp for the other speakers was horrible.I talked to another audio guy and he told me to ground both amps seperetly AND run a wire to the ground terminal from the battery and ground it to the chassis.I am goanna try that then take a wire brush and scrape the paint from where it is grounded now.The ground wire does run real close to the power wires, but I ran the RCA wires on the other side of the van.He told me about a ground component(can't remember what the name of it is) But I will have to wrap the RC cables around it before I plug them up.I will try to get this stuff done an see how it goes. Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it.Oh yea,has anyone ever heard of True Bass speakers made by Dana Audio? It went on recored today in a competion that a 6 and a half True bass hit harder than a 15' sub.I think its a fairly new speaker and I am concidering gettin sponsored by these guys an start competing next year.Again, thank you guys for your input.

never heard of them but i don't keep up w/ the speaker scene anymore. did they give a name brand for th 15 that the 6 1/2 suposedly beat? that has a lot to do w/ it. i mean if you put an 8' JL W7 up to a 15' RF speaker there is NO complarison JL will take the trophey every time. if you are looking for a KICK *** best around, hands down sweet sub... check out JL Audio's W7, yes they are expensive but all you need is 1. check out ebay i think you can get a 12.5' W7 for around 550-650 but it will beat ur head like a ragdoll.
