Is it a blown head gasket?

Hey guys I just finished putting my transmission back in with the new rear crankshaft seal. Anyway my question here is how can I tell if the head gasket is blown. My car is a 96 GS.

-loss of coolant
-car overheating
-compression test on cylinders reveal 2 consecutive cylinders with low #'s
