Default replaced head gasket, car wont start

My brother has a '92 eclipse (4 cyl.) he got for $150. It ran fine, but the head gasket was blown. He replaced it, along with the valve cover gasket, plugs and wires. I went over yesterday after work to check the timing and all that, but the damn thing wont start now. Any ideas where to start checking for problems? He has'nt went and paid for a Haynes book (even though I told him to before he even started working on the car), so we're not too sure on the actual firing order. Anyone have some pics/diagrams of the firing order?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well we got the car to start finally. Problem was he had moved the cam gear during the work he had done and it was'nt where it needed to be. We got everything back on TDC and the car started. It was missing a little though. He shut the car off and tried to start it again... but it will not start. We've checked all vac. lines, plug gaps, and the head was torqued to specs. Any ideas why it won't start again?

I can tell you the firing order 1-4-3-2!

Does that help?
