Default Bolt On replacement turbo

I have a EVO III Big 16g from FP. I want more power. Without having to get a new exhaust mani, and O2 housing, what is a bigger replacement for the 16g. Will something like a 20g-5h bolt up?

why dont you just try and get more out of the 16g. That turbo is capable of alot with a built up motor and a good tune.

have you dynoed or tracked the car? in my experience most people dont know how to tune, think they need a turbo, then get dissapointed when they spend another $1000 on a bigger turbo and dont get any faster. i was able to run mid 11's on a 16g and never felt the need to upgrade, i liked the fact that I could hang with 911's and my turbo still spooled quick. Monster turbos may make a lot of power, but on a lil 2 liter motor you dont even move until the damn thing kicks in.

like he said, its all about tuning and building the block enough to hold the power your trying to get.

it wasnt even that crazy of a setup, full 3" exhaust, big 16g, filter, bov, upper ic pipe, mbc, safc, walbro 190 and denso 660's.
I can easily say tuning is the most important aspect of getting fast. I spent tons of time reading up on it and more time changing settings around until it felt right. Im sure I could have done better, I didnt even use a wideband, just a pocket logger and went off timing curve and butt dyno. The one other important piece of advice I have though is only buy denso or rc injectors, stay away from fic/pte/any other cheaper brand or you will have a hell of a time tuning them (with safc/maft, they are fine with dmslink/greddy emanage)

building the block isnt even important for a 16g turbo. blocks can handle more power than a 16g can give. the only thing that may happen is you may blow a head gasket if its old. Then you just get some arp bolts and a new gasket and you are set. My motor was a 6 bolt bottom end with 2g head/2g pistons and all arp hardware. I could have easily done the same thing with a 7 bolt motor though.
