My 95 GS just quit producing heat. The moter is not overheating, changed thermostat. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

When the core goes bad wouldn't it leak coolent inside the car? All my other vehicles have leaked in the cab.

When was the last time you did a coolant flush? Possibly a clogged line in the system? Also check coolant levels low coolant also causes lack of heat.

The coolant is full, but I did have my valve cover gasket replaced. Could a piece of gasket gotten into the lines? It could be pluged. So when I drain the system should that remove the crap or do I have to have it blown out? Has anyone here removed a heater core from an 2nd gen? Also where are the in/out lines that go into the firewall for the core located?
Thanks

All right first there isn't any way that valve cover gasket could get in the coolant lines unless you dropped it in while changing the thermostat. Don't drain the system get the prestone coolant system flush and do that first. It will give you instructions just follow them. If that doesn't fix it then you may have a serious clog somewhere .

pull the lines off of the motor to the core flush lines out hook up the top on and put hose up to it if there is flow than the core should be fine and there is somthing cloged in head or block and that is a differant story.
