A/C compressor

so about to change out the ac compressor on my 96 gst. any suggestions on the easiest way to get it out? do you have to remove the intake manifold or can you get it from underneath the car?

I would remove the intake manifold. If you want to take it out of the bottom, you'll have to pull the axle and then unbolt the whole a/c compressor bracket. Definitely take it out of the top.
