my car idles funny and stalls sometimes the diagnostics says its the idle control system so does anyone know what needs 2 be replaced?[sm=dontgetit.gif]

Either your IAC (idle air control) sensor, or you just need to raise up your idle with the BISS (base idle set screw). I would try the biss first. It should be on top of the throttle body. I think that should do it

yeah try the BISS first my buddies was doing the same thing and that fixed his problem

idle air control valve is about 220 bucks at napa

You can get a used one for about sixty bucks though, with a one year parts protection. Thats what I did when mine went bad and it has been fine for awhile.

does it risky to install a used one? I got mine for 30 bucks.

Just make sure its clean along with where it goes in, and make sure the o-ring that goes around it is in good shape, and you should be fine.
