I have a 1999 Spyder GS 4g64 that im converting to a turbo but anyways I need a CA smog legal Cat because mine is making my engine light come on. Any good aftermarket ones? I found this one

Are you sure your getting the 2nd o2 sensor light and not something else?

 

Na my mechanic checked the light and and it came up as the 1st cat. Any advice? he showed me its the 1 thats under the headers

 

The first o2 sensor is for motor operations/performance. It tells the ECU that it's either running rich or lean.
The second one only monitors the cat and it's by the cat, that's it.
What do you mean "under the header"? Do you mean under the motor or just below the exhaust manifold?

 

its probably your 2nd O2 sensor....but if it isnt....most cats are legal, long as it doesnt say "for off-road/show use only", or some i seen will even say not for use in Cali.

 

thats the problem im in cali everything seems like its 49 state legal excluding cali

 

thats cause for the most part, everything is legal everywhere except for cali. either that or its causes cancer or reproductive harm if used in cali lol

 

anywayz any that are CALI legal?
