Yes and no, that's the other reason.
The other reason (in conjunction with the thrust) for removing that clutch start was the TOB. This was a big issue with ACT TOBs. They had plastic in the design, I believe, and went bad a lot.

Actually it was the other way around.

ACT was running the metal design that was causing a lot of noise issues, and in a lot of cases, it was cracking. Then they switchched back to the OEM, and all was good. Or do I have it the other way round?
