Default Clutch question

I have a 97 eclipse with the 420 in it. I recently installed a fidanza clutch and flywheel and now the transmission grinds and the clutch pedal has to be pressed ALL the way to the floor to disengage the clutch. Any ideas on why this is happening? the clutch is the 4.2 fidanza clutch. Could the slave cylinder be causing the problem?

Bleed your line just to be sure there no air. I do not know much about the setup of the 420A clutch/pedal system, but if it looks like this http://www.roadraceengineering.com/c...ywheeltech.htm The suggestion would be to adjust your pedal and bring up the engage/disengage point. Just scroll through the page. All in expensive experiment to try. If it don't work guess u got to wait for somebody more experience to jump in lol and give advice.

Its your clutch pedal. Its common with any car that you install an upgraded clutch into that you have to adjust the engagment point. Behind the pedal youll find a rod and toward the firewall end of it is a nut. Just loosen the nut a little, then turn the rod to screw in or unscrew. I dont remember which way you need to go, in or out. i would think out since your engagement point is low, but just play around with it. Once you turn it just tighten the nut back and check

Yup, that RRE link is what I always give when someone states "new clutch" and something about it's engagement, lol.
