Ya, just replaced one for $16 dollars.. Took 10 minutes to change and got rid of the noisy *** squeel!

 

i replaced mine a few months ago and it still sqeels like you guys keep on saying so i put on the dressing and it still dose it but i didnt have alot to put on dose the wd-40 thing actually work?

 

is it tight enough?

 

ya.. If you have a new belt, it shouldnt squeel if put on properly.. Did you put on the belt that drives the altenator? Or was it a different one?

 

same problem happened to me... i didnt tighten the belt enough... just so you know, there are two bolts to the tensioner (i was not aware of this)... one to loosen the tensioner so it can be moved back and forth more freely, and one adjust the tightness off the belt...

 

i have it fixed now i had a belt guy look at it he said it was a little loss and that if it kept up that i should put on some dressing so i did both havnet herd a sound out of it yet.
