Cost of Timing Belt Replacement

Cost of Timing Belt Replacement
cal private shop that races Mitsubishi's quoted me $450 to change the timing belt, pulley's and idlers on a 97 RS. I know there are a lot of links on replacing the belt, but unsure if I should tackle this. Fairly good with older engines, but never done a timing belt.
Is the price quoted reasonable or do I need to look further.

RE: Cost of Timing Belt Replacement
Thanks all
I have rebuilt engines and transmissions (hell I drive a 67 MGBGT as my regular driver. That should give you some idea of my mechanical skills). If I had the engine out and on a stand and was able to really look at it, I probably would not have any issues.
Doing this on the cramped area of the side of the RS reading a haynes repair manual probably would not normally bother me either. It is what estraw said. If I F up, I REALLY F up. And since this is the son's car. That would not be a good thing.
Thanks all. Perhaps I can ask the shop if I can watch. Once I do that I would be a lot more comfortable in doing it my self.
