Default crank pulley

ok..so im trying to get to the timing belt on to change the water pump on a 99 eclipse....cant for the life of me get the crank pulley off.....book sayes just take the bolt in the middle....and a 3 prong pulley puller should do the trick...well its not...its busted a couple and i was curious as to if anyone knows any tricks or anything? or if im missing a step...it just doesnt want to come off.....thanks for the help..o ya...2.0 n/a...420a...if that helps at all
