I know that! But some people just spin bearings and say OMG ITS CRANKWALK. Thats just f-ing annoying. Yes, crankwalk causes spun bearings i realise that... doesnt take a genius to figure that out lol. I just think that there is a line between the two.
The crankwalking spins bearings fair enough, crank walk i suppose is a little larger of a problem but if you at the point your spinning a bearing chances are there are worse things instore and the thing is close to the breaking point. your better off obviouslyonly spinning a bearing cause you have a chance to salvage the head, turbo ect.

okay you said if you disable the clutch start you have a better chance of not c walking? is this just because your using the clutch less? so anything that will help not press on the clutch as much you should do to help saveyou from c walk? how would you disable the clutch start sorry for the newb ?s i just dont want to have to put a 4th engine in my gst. if it gets to that point im getting a 6bolt. i didnt know about 6 and 7 bolts when i replaced the engine. thanks for the help

There is a rectangle shaped white plug that is above the clutch pedal, just unplug it and there you go. There are two white plugs, one is for the clutch start the other is thecruise control.

Not all 2Gs crankwalk but they all will most likly start to at some point or another. Most breakdown due to spun bearings which is a form of the crankwalking but it is not technically "crankwalk" i guess. You will no matter what suffer from it its just a matter of when. Some people may not crank walk because they are super easy on the car and stay up on maintanence. There for in some cases the motor actually needs a rebuild due to wear before the crankwalks enough to break it. Either way the problem is there and is not fixable (fixable loosly stated)with out a 6bolt swap

The clutch start is a huge part of saving from CW. Because the problems that cause it are friction and lack of oil pressure. When you start a car you have both of those at its worst stage. the oil is all in the pan so it is a short shock at first on top of that when the clutch is in they run lower oil pressure and have more friction since pressure is being applied to the crank at the same time. So it is smart to remove the clutch start and it is also a big thing for 7 bolt guys to not hold the clutch pedal in at stops. your better off putting it in N and and staying off the clutch as much as you can
