I have a 98 that had crankwalk... After tearing it down, the bearings were eaten and the crank was really wearing bad.. My theory on the crankwalk on the 7 bolt motors is because they dont have the oil squirters like the 6 bolt blocks.. I havent seen/heard about a 6 bolt getting crankwalk, and that is the most logical reason to me..

It is the oil squirters. along with friction
