Thanks for the info. There is flanges on both ends of the stock Cat so I'll still use those. incase I want to put the cat back on. I'm from apart of Canada where this is no emiisions so we dont need a CAT. Are you sure there wont be any problems with the rear o2 sensor and the ecu? I dont want a check engine light. And will it give me a louder tone and better performance???

I know my friend with the civic, when he took his cat off, it got really loud. It was pretty bad ***, but you gotta be careful about driving near cops.
the sensor should be fine.

Well, i am about to purchase a 16G turbo. Do you think I should get one?

Do you have an upgraded fuel system or is it stock? If you have yet to upgrade your fuel, get that first, or save and get them both at the same time. It is completely necessary to be able to run decent boost.

Sebba, good point. I meant to ask that earlier too. Is it possible to get a tuning device? Where can I get it? Or where can I get my car tuned right?

Poot, I am purchasing a fuel pump (Walbro 190 or 255, not sure yet), I am replacing the fuel filter, I have a Greddy Evo2 catback exhaust, also ordering my intake and boost gauge in a couple days. I should be set after that for the 16G, right?

you can use a safcII for tuning but youll need a wideband. and just get the 190 pump. and think about 550 injectors.

What exactly is the SAFCII? What does it do exactly? And what is the wideband for?

One more, whats wrong with the Walbro 255 fuel pump? And do I really need to get 550 injectors?

You need to explain the full extent of costs with these things. They range very much and someone that does not know much about these kind of things can easily get riped off. I am in the same position as you. I am building my friends talon for him and i am planing to use a 16g turbo setup but i need to know what tuning device to get and what will it cost to get/setup.

Another question, can I just slap on the 16G turbo without tuning it? What will happen if I dont tune it? Can I have someone else tune it for me? Like a shop or garage?

I am with u guys on that cause I am getting ready 2 put a 16G on my car. I found this Fuel management kit @ www.extremepsi.com it costs $599 comes with everything u need to replace fuel pump, injectors, and SAFCII then u r good to go with 16G turbo. but here is my question how much boost can I run my car with this setup and a good tune with the stock intercooler.

Do you have to tune the car when you drop a 16G?
