Ohh.. well i dont have a lower cover for the belt.. its completly exposed..
i would get one ASAP because one sharp object can cut the belt and having you pissed off because youll have a lot of work ahead of you

[].. why must u scare me like that. Make me more paranoid. Well i have been lucky so far. Is there a difference between 1st gen cover and 2nd gend cover.

If you have what sounds like a belt squeeling, but no loose belts, check your harmonic balancer. Mine came loose from the rubber, cut into the timing cover and sent plastic through the timing belt. It didn't break the belt but it did slip enough to slam the pistons into the intake valves, bending every one of them. Luckily I was at a stop sign and the piston damage was minimal.
i had the same thing but one day i smelled rubber and took the top timing cover off and pulled the balancer belt out through the top and nothing appened. guess im lucky.

im not sure but i went to the dealer and got a brand new one for 90 bucks.
