I was wondering if there any way to tell if i bent a valve with out pulling the head? And is i worth just trying to put a new belts on?
To check the valves, all you do is pull the valve cover off, pull the rocker shafts off to get the pressure off all the valves. Then look at the valve stems. If they're all the same height you're good. If you see one or more that are short, start pulling the head. You have bent valves.

If you don't see bent valves, put your belt back on and then do a compression test to make sure you didn't bust a piston instead.
