Default ecu problem

i am doing so far a difficult swap. im puttin a 91 turbo talon motor in a 97 non turbo eclipse spyder. i cant figure out what i need to do with the ecu and back wiring harness. i have the 91 wiring harness from the headlights to the dashand ecu but my problem is the wiring for the fuel pump and tail lights. i need to know if i can cut the plug off a 91 rear harness and hot wire it in or if i need the whole harness.

Well, I would just cut the 1G molex plug and solder the 2G molex plug on. Find an electrical wiring guide if you don't have a CD manual for DSMs. I think it would have been easier to have used a 2G wiring harness (complete) and just followed the wiring tips for the CAS. Everything else is the same under the hood of the 1G and 2G anyhow. The molex plugs are really the only things that are noticably different. Be creative bud and don't overthink the swap, you're on the right track.

I know you've already got all the things to do this swap in, but I would have suggested a 2g wiring harness with a 1G motor.

i do still have the 2g harness in but i was told i had to swap it out. so your sayin that all i need to do with the engine bay is take the 2G CAS and swap it with the 1G CAS? is there a difference between plugs bein that im puttin a turbo in a non turbo car or is that just adding a turbo gauge. and the 2G ecu has 4 plugs the 1G has 3...so do i turn 2 plugs into 1?

That would be the one. The N/A harness won't do you any good.
