i was thinking of buying a slowboy racing block with forged internals and a stage 2 head from their website.. does anybody know anything about their products?

I haven't heard anything bad about them. You might also want to check out Jasper Engines. The shop I used to work at whenever we got a new engine it was always a Jasper crate. You'll probably have to do a bit more research I don't know if they do the aftermarket or racing setups but they're good quality blocks.
