Default EVO III installed Problem with EXTREME lag

Hey guys I got the evo all ported out and everything, installed it and fired it up. It was a rough start but then it ran good! The only issue is when I floor it there is super bad turbo lag. I don't know it took like 2 seconds to get it up to 8psi (i have the electronic boost controller turned off) and then I tried to turn the controller on and it didn't really help. The car runs and idles fine. I don't know. Boost leak? anyone?

Boost leak FO SHO 99% sho.

Could be your wastegate getting stuck open. Could be your BOV is stuck open... check all that **** out

hmmm, I bet it's the wastegate. I know the BOV is working fine becuase I can hear it. Maybe the hose that is connected to the wastegate is not tight enough.... I guess I will just have to check. I installed a 34MM wastegate too.

Like Sebba said. Test for boost leaks (even though if it were lagging that much I'd suspect your car wouldn't idle at all) and if you installed the flapper yourself, make sure it's closing all the way. No cracks in your exhaust manifold right? That would cause lag too.

Ok I will do that, yeah no cracks in the mani, I ported that out too. I am going to try and set the boost controller today too, I had everything turned all the way down.
