exhaust?????

RE: exhaust?????
DSMTalonAWD51 is right. Unless you have some expensive studio quality mics set up to record the sound of the exhaust, it wont sound that great. Plus you have to think about where the mic is positioned during the recording. Is it close to the muffler, or 20 feet away? It will be nothing like in person.

RE: exhaust?????
ive always been a fan of the apex, an heres why. you can find em generally much cheaper than hks/greddy. its a quality exhaust(not that the others arent) but it flows more, it is a bigger exhaust (starts out at 3" at the cat, expands to 3.3" at the end. and most importantly, when you upgrade to a larger cat and downpipe(which you really need to do to make good power) apex already makes a bolt up downpipe, or roadraceengineering also fabricates 3" downpipe/cats to bolt right up to the apex n1 only. with the greddy or hks you are most likely going to have to pay someone to cut/weld a custom setup for you, which means that not only will it cost more, but its not reversable.

My GReddy EVO2 is a bolt on Catback with a 4" tip. Cost about 480 bucks, plus a 50 dollar exhaust shop installation because I didn't have the tools to do it myself. It didn't require any welding either.

RE: exhaust?????
well thats what it does. its not random, its engineering. eshaust gas is hotter closer to the turbo, so pipe diameter isnt as criotical since it wil travel faster. as the gases get closer to the end of the exhaust, they are cooler in temp, travel slower, and a progressively larger diameter pipe helps them to continue through

where does the exhaust change. I have never heard of piping for a catback just randomly changing to 3.3"
