I just replaced the turbo in my 97 eclipse, along with the manifold and I had to
Modify the exhaust a bit for it to connect to the new turbo. Everything runs fine but it sounds, well, like ****. It sounds like a old beater truck that had its exhaust cut. Any input? Maybe something between the manifold and exhaust is leaking? Any help would be appreciated

 

Mostly exhaust manifold cracks or leaks will cause a noise, especially when your car is running cold. There may even be a noticeable vibration that goes along with the noise.
