ok i have a 95 eagle talon esi manuel.. when i bought the car the plastic for the gauges was broken and looked wierd so i replced them with another gauge..the gauge i bought the gas gauge went up past F but the car had very little gas so thinking i just bought a bad gauge i bought another one it did the same thing.. needle went past F again any ideas on what to do? on the old broken gauge tho the gas needle worked fine..

 

The float on the fuel pump might be bad.
Is the esi a 420A?

If its the float, you can get to it from the rear seat thankfully.

 

ya its a 420a.. i dont think its the float tho because the old gauge cluster i replaced worked but these 2 other ones havent


i remeber i chaged the gas line before i changed the gauges could that have something to do with it?
