GST vs GSX

it all depends on the driver really. The GSX is AWD so the tires aren't going to spin and it will hook up immediately allowing it to get a head start, but it is heavier than the GST. The opposite holds true for the GST. Its lighter, but the wheels will spin depending on how it is launched. They both have the same horsepower at the crank but more power is lost to the wheels on the AWD because of drivetrain loss. i.e. the GST only has to transfer power to the front two wheels while the GSX has to transfer it to all four. This was the same explanation that a salesmen at a dealership said to me back in '95 when I purchased my first DSM. I still ended up purchasinga durango copper GSX.
