hard Break pedal
ok so today i moved my car into the garage so i could work on it. ongoing project for a while. the car has been sitting scence feb. and when i pulled it out i noticed that the break pettle was hard to push down. it wasnt like this when i drove it last or atleast i dont remember it being this bad. there is surface rust on the pads that went away some but the pettle only lossened up a little. fluid is full so idk what the problem could be. any ideas, one person who i talked to for a min said air could possibly be in the lines???

RE: hard Break pettle
was the car running when you moved it? it if was maybe the master booster or pistons on the brakes were just stiff from not moving.....wouldnt hurt to bleed out the system too.
and its not "break pettle" its BRAKE PEDAL!!

RE: hard Break pettle
ok so yea sorry bout the spelling thing so i should just bleed the system and see what happens. and yes every thing was fine except for the iac before i stopped driving it. breaks and all.

RE: hard Break pettle
Ok if the car want running that is normal b/c your not getting vacuum to the booster which aids in brake assist. If it was running and you had a hard pedal I would inspect the vacuum line to the booster.
