RE: head bolts stuck
lucky guy.. changing my exhaust manifold and the 2 of the 4 bolts connecting to the turbine housing seezed up. Bought every kind of lubricant possible and it wouldn't come out. So got a long extension and forced it out. Stripped the thread on those stuck bolt and when i retapped the whole the bit broke and now is stuck in there. Only 2 bolts hold it together lol.. how sad.. tears >.<

RE: head bolts stuck
were you using a lube on the tap b/c if not i could have told you it was going to break. to get it out, just take a punch into the center of the tap and just pound away and hopefully it comes out. at work my bosses are cheap ad we have to use crisco on out taps and it works wonderfull.

RE: head bolts stuck
well getting it out wasn't a problem, when putting it all back together is when it got stuck. So the last 2 bolt i went and bought lubricant and it went back in easily. The other 2 I guess ill hammer away in the opposite direction with a flat head or something on the weekend and see if i can fix it..The bolts are finished though, but easily replaced. I always learn the hard way..

If you're tapping the bolt holes on the Turbo, tap them from the bottom so that you start with good threads. Its a long reach, but if you invert a 1/4 inch drive 1/4 socket over a 1/4 inch allen socket and put it on a long extension you can use a ratchet. Just make sure that you only move an 1/8 of a turn and then back it up or you will break your tap. Tap size is 10x 1.25.
