Default HELP! 6-bolt swap help...do i need a tranny?

I am a total noob in DSM's. I just bought a 95 GS-T, with an almost finished 6-bolt swap(from a 1st gen GSX). The guy said all it needs is a 1G flywheel(he said it has a GSX in it and it wont line up with the starter)and all the vacuum lines hooked up. Now my question is this, do I need a tranny from a 1st gen, or is there an adapter kit to bolt up the 6-bolt tranny to the 95 tranny? The guy I bought it from doesnt seem to know much about it, and has ran out of money to fix it, so it could have the the gsx flywheel without the tranny? Could somebody help shed some light on this?
