HI, I have a 99 spyder gs auto, my car makes a high pitch whine when i coast. As long as my foot is on the gas it doesn't make this sound but when i let off the gas and coast it whines, What could it be?

 

Does the sound come from the front or the back of the car? Does it do it sitting still or only when moving?

 

Sorry I guess I should have said that to begin with! It only does it while I'm coasting with my foot off the gas. The sound comes from the front passenger side, it sounds like its coming from the engine bay, maybe down lower around the transmission. I'm not sure what it is, I thought maybe it was the transmission but I checked the fluid and it's ok and it shifts fine so I don't think it's that. It seems to have started making the sound when it got cold outside, maybe that has something to do with it???????????
