how to check 5sp transmission fluid

Got a 1995 rs non turbo w/5pd trans. I found the tranny drain but cant find where you check the fluid level. please help. A picture would be nice.

You check the fluid level from the same place as you fill it by sticking your pinky into it. The fill hole is usually a few inches from the very bottom of the tranny case.

There is a black rubber plug just above and to the right of the right front (driver side) CV axle. Its easier to get to it by taking off the tire. Also get some needle nose pliers.
