i havent been driving it since the noise started so i think it may just be a spun bearing is there any way to tell whitch bearing is spun without tearing apart the engine i want to save as mutch money as i can

i cant do it myself. i got a quote to replace the bearings for the parts and labor im lookin to pay about 500 bucks and i did not know that you had to take off all the bearings just to replace one so thats a good thing to know
would it be better to get it done at a mitsubishi dealership or at a local shop?
any help would be appreciated

Dealership = jacked up cost.
Depending on what is knocking... might be a spun bearing, might be a rod knock or how ever unlikely... might be crankwalk.
Motors that have these kinds of problems and have had a cheap/quick fix like you suggested, typically dont last long.
If you ask me it would be much easier to pick up a motor and drop it in.

it would cost me more to drop a new engine in it than repair the one i have and im lookin to upgrade when i save up enough money but the veichle im driving is my dads and hes selling it in a month so im hard pressed to repair my car as fast as possable
