Thanks for the link, but after reading what can happen after a prolonged use of a bad ISC I wonder if the computer took a crap cause this car idled high for a while for the previous owner.

I know brother. that part scared me too. For both of our sake, i hope thats not the case. There is a place that repairs ecu's for pretty cheap in case that is the case. http://www.autocomputersupply.com/in...&ProdID=54

I noticed something different this morning with the way the car sounded under the hood. I would here a clicking or ticking sound and it would only do it when I would have foot on the throttle. This sound wouldnt change in speed w/RPM. So I hunted the sound down and took some pics. The thing with the vacuum hoses coming out of it in the middle of the firewall, the one on the left. Now remember everything on this car is still stock.

if i remember right that goes to your egr valve. The one on the right goes to your fuel pressure regulator.

could this be part of my Idling problem. I cant here this thing making any noise on my 96 Talon TSI?

i doubt it, because my car is doing the same thing and I don't even have that connected.
