Keyless Entry Question
I have a 1998 Eclipse and I need to use the key to open the door. Its getting old. I dont know if the car had keyless entry before. The car was repossessed and auctioned off at one point.
So where can I get what I need?
and
How do I install it?

RE: Keyless Entry Question
if the car had it before then you need to go to the dealer. I know mine had it but the thing for it was broke. Id go there with the vin # and see if the car originally came with it and see if you can just buy the thing for it. It might be a bit pricey though

RE: Keyless Entry Question
thats sucks because I bitched at some people at my mitsubishi dealership because I caught them in a lie, and I dont think they like me. I wasn't planning on going back.
about how expensive? $200-$300?

RE: Keyless Entry Question
i bought an awesome alarm online with the little remote that shows if your car is tampered with and where and has the 1/2 mile alarm setting and keyless start and all that for like 250 online. and if the dealer does sell you a keyless thing they are so gay they'll prolly charge you like 100 bucks for it.

RE: Keyless Entry Question
my horn and cruise control didnt work. I asked them to fix it.
well my rear body harness was melted because whoever had the car before me cut out the cd changer and didnt tape up the wires. and they said that was the problem. they charged me $500 for a new harness and $700 in labor, and dont get me wrong the harness was a mess, it needed to be replaced. My sister goes and picks the car up for me, because mitsubishi is an hour away and I had to work. I get home, jump in the car, and horn and cruise control still dont work. I call them up, and they said that the horn was working when the car left the shop. I asked about the crusie control...and the lady i was talking to hesitated for a second and then tried giving me some bull**** that I didnt ask for the crusie control to get fixed....but thats why I brought the car there in the first place....so yeah...I was lied to, ignored, and disrespected. I dont really want to go back. I now see why they are known as satan.
