alright. Ill get one of those gauges and try this test out.

What would it tell me though?

it gives you a better idea whats wrong to help determine what is really wrong. there are alot of problems with similar symptoms and the guys on here if you give them the compression readings i think they could probably figure it out. TE thats an awesome website im going to do that also make sure everything is perfect.

if you have a noticable drop in one of the cylinders then it might show you if you have a bad seal or even worse a ring land

I just had my brakes done and i asked about the seals and he said tha could be a 1200$ job.

Also i have a quick unrelated question. Could I put a license plate in the front of my car that has no numbers and is just decal?
Such as one of these

Or is there any way to put my license plate numbers on that instead.

you would have to check your states laws on that man. I know alot of states require plates in front and back, that cant be specialty plates. such as the ones you posted.

yea i know here in mass they require a front plate, even though i dont have one on
