low fuel cut

ok so i gota 95 gst its got an injen intake and k&n filter, i have a big 16g turbo and a boost controler set a 10psi my problem is the car seems to hit fuel cut a 5k rpm im assuming it just needs to be tuned i dont really know.. this is how i got the car. i got a safc2 i just bought to tune it with and i just got some 550cc injectors imma put in it.. i just need some input on wheather thats wat it is or not thanks

its prob a mix of the tune and a boost leak. Boost leaks cause premature boost cut. running only 10pSI shouldnt do it. BTW unless you have a wideband o2 and gauge you cant tune the car yourself.

yea well imma have it tuned by a shop so i dont have to buy all that but imma replace all the hoses and check the connections as soon as i get the engine back in.. it did have some pretty shabby looking hoses on it for the piping

buy or make a boost leak tester. they are cheap. and will save you countless hours in searching for a leak

Go to www.vfaq.com and look under the intake section and there is a write up on how to make a boost leak tester and how to use it.

but also the car will go to redline if i stay out of boost or only get like 1psi so idk if that is a boost leak or wats goinon

yeah sounds like a boost leak. You wont hit fuel cut unless your under load. So if you stay off the turbo youll be fine. Do a boost leak test and be done with it lol

ok thanks i still gotta finish rebuilding the engine and get it back in first..lol.. i alson got some pics of some vacume lines that havnt had ne hoses on them since i got the car imma post them later and see if you guys can tell me where they go.
