Misfire, hesitation, and engine dying
I've got a 98 Eclipse GS with the 420A in it.
All recent service has been done, new spark plugs, wires, coil, air filter, fuel filter, TPS, crank sensor, cam sensor, EGR valve, etc etc. It's timing is perfect (just put on new belt) and everything is exactly as it should. There is no check engine light on.
When at idle (fully warm or cold) it feels like it's missing occasionally. I did a cylinder drop test and all four cylinders are firing. Sometimes after driving for a while when I put the clutch in to come to a stop the engine will cut off. Also, going up some hills that I usually could go up in 5th gear running around 60MPH I now have to drop down to fourth gear to do it. It really feels like I'm lacking a lot of power and I can NOT figure out why!! Any suggestions, PLEASE help me here.
