Default Motor swap question

Wuts up guys...lemme get to the point real quick..had a CRX and i wrecked it then i got money for it and now im looking at eclipses..I cant seem to find any GSX's or GST's in my area that are 5 speed...Im seeing plenty of GS's and RS's.. My question is can i swap the turbo 4G63 motor into a GS? sorry if this has been asked already, this is my first post here.[>:]

many want to do this, just hold out a while until you find a gst/gsx. its too much work and costs too much, not worth the trouble. then you will have a powerful engine with a WEAK tranny. the car wasnt made for that kind of power.

What about the 4G63 engine turbo'd with the auto tranny of a 2G ('96 to be exact) think it'll overpower the tranny there as well??

well i cant say exactly how strong that tranny is im sure just driving around with that setup would be fine but id never want to launch repeatedly with a gs tranny and a 4g63 engine or even fix it up much beyond stock. i kno the 2gen turbos are getting hard to find, it took me a few months to find a gsx back when i was looking, but itl be worth your while and you will love your car knowing everything will work just right

no engine is a direct bolt on, but with some money it can be done. if you havnt gotten anything yet i reccomend really considering just buying the gst/gsx. the only reason to bother getting the gs is for cheaper insurance, and then id just go ahead and get the hahnracecraft turbo kit for the stock motor and not worry about any swapping. remember with any swap like that you're going to be paying $300 for smog and gonna have to find some place to do it for u illegally too.
